Job Overview
A private family in Mississauga, Ontario is seeking a dependable Babysitting Caregiver to provide full-time, in-home childcare. This permanent role offers a steady work routine in a warm, respectful household.
The caregiver will assist with daily routines, meal preparation, hygiene support, and play-based learning. At times, you’ll step in fully to supervise when the parents are away. The family values patience, honesty, independence, and a positive attitude as much as prior childcare experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for children throughout the day.
- Prepare meals and snacks based on daily needs.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Maintain a safe, child-friendly home environment.
- Support learning through play and simple educational activities.
- Follow the family’s preferred routines and discipline style.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to children.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education

Secondary school diploma (required).
Experience
- 1 to less than 7 months of related childcare experience preferred.
- Strong interest in working with children is essential.
Skills
- Patience, kindness, and good judgment.
- Basic cooking and home organization.
- Strong communication and listening abilities.
- Independent worker, comfortable without supervision.
- Physically able to lift and care for children (up to 30 lbs).
Knowledge
- Basics of child hygiene and safety.
- Familiarity with daily routines and age-appropriate care.
- Safe and respectful discipline strategies.
- Understanding of emotional support for young children.
