Job Overview
Auckland Council is hiring a Cleaner for Orewa Beach Holiday Park. This casual, full-time role keeps cabins, units, bathrooms, BBQ areas, and shared spaces fresh and welcoming for guests. It also covers light outdoor work like rubbish pickup and sweeping pathways.
This position suits someone with 1–2 years of cleaning or groundskeeping experience, though training is provided for fast learners. You’ll need to be flexible for weekends, holidays, and peak summer shifts. A sharp eye for detail, great time management, and a friendly approach are musts. A full Class 1 driver’s licence is helpful for moving around the park.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize cabins, bathrooms, and shared guest areas.
- Maintain grounds by sweeping, clearing rubbish, and keeping BBQ areas tidy.
- Greet and assist visitors with a welcoming attitude.
- Stick to daily cleaning schedules and complete tasks efficiently.
- Flag any maintenance issues (e.g., loose steps, safety concerns).
- Handle cleaning equipment safely and responsibly.
- Support teammates during peak visitor times.
- Adapt to changing priorities, especially in the summer season.
- Contribute to a safe, positive, and team-oriented workplace.
Requirements
