Job Overview
Skyline Enterprises is seeking a Cleaner | Stores team member to support operations at the Rotorua Gondola and Luge attractions. This role is part-time with heavy hours on weekends, public holidays, and school breaks, running until October 18, 2025.
The position blends stock handling and cleaning duties, ensuring guest areas and operations remain spotless and efficient during Rotorua’s peak tourism flow. Candidates should bring energy, flexibility, and a can-do attitude to thrive in a fast-paced tourism environment.
Responsibilities
- Unload deliveries and organize stock securely for team access.
- Distribute supplies to departments and log hand-offs accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness across lounges, guest areas, and staff zones.
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces, counters, and floors to ensure hygiene.
- Identify maintenance issues and report them promptly.
- Assist with stock control, inventory checks, and shelf monitoring.
- Support team during peak events, school holidays, and seasonal surges.
- Operate vehicles (if licensed) for short supply runs.
- Refill consumables such as wipes, waste bins, and supplies.
- Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards across all tasks.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education

High school completion (or equivalent).
Experience
- No formal experience required.
- Prior work in cleaning, stores, or tourism operations is an asset.
Skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 20kg.
- Flexible availability for weekends and public holidays.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Self-motivation with attention to detail.
- Basic record-keeping and time management.
Knowledge
- Cleaning and hygiene standards in public/guest environments.
- Stockroom and inventory basics.
- Safe handling practices for supplies and cleaning tools.
- Awareness of tourism operations and peak visitor flows.
