Rhythm Japan is hiring Staff Shuttle Drivers for the upcoming 2025–2026 winter season in Niseko, Hokkaido. This role is ideal for skilled drivers who want to combine their expertise with the energy of Japan’s world-famous ski culture.

 You’ll be driving 24–29-seat buses, ensuring staff arrive safely and on time while navigating snowy mountain roads.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive shuttle buses (24–29 seats) on fixed staff routes.
• Follow all Japanese traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Adjust driving for icy and snowy winter road conditions.
• Perform daily safety checks, fueling, and vehicle upkeep.
• Keep the bus clean, safe, and ready for operation.
• Communicate with management about delays or issues.
• Support occasional staff events or special transport needs.
• Assist with snow clearance and extra tasks when required.

Requirements

Licenses:

• International Driving Permit with category D (e.g., MR in Australia, Class 2 in NZ) OR
• Japanese chugata license (or higher), valid for 29-seater buses.

Experience:

• Proven bus driving experience (24–29 seaters).
• Must have experience in snow and ice driving.
• Skills & Attributes:
• Strong focus on safety and detail.
• Confidence driving in tough winter conditions.
• Quick problem-solving on the road.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Good communication with staff and management.

Knowledge:

• Japanese traffic rules and winter driving safety.
• Basics of bus maintenance and inspections.
• Familiarity with Niseko roads (bonus).
