About the Job
Newton Co Limited is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Farm Assistant to join a family-owned poultry farm in Rangiora, Canterbury. This is a part-time position, offering 1 to 4 hours of work per day, ideal for someone looking for flexible hours while being involved in daily farm operations.
Farm Assistant
You will support the owners with day-to-day farm tasks and contribute to maintaining high standards of animal care and farm productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with feeding, watering, and monitoring the health and wellbeing of livestock
Carry out general farm duties including weed control and basic maintenance
Operate farm machinery and equipment safely and responsibly
Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
Work closely with farm owners to improve farming practices
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in farming or agricultural work
- Basic knowledge of livestock care and farm operations
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Practical skills and attention to detail
- Physically fit and reliable
- Passionate about agriculture and sustainable farming

Eligibility & Requirements
